Valentine’s Day is tomorrow!
We spent last week making valentine boxes and cutting out paper hearts. Each person wrote something the love about each member of the family on a heart and put it into the box. So by the time Valentine’s Day arrives, each person will have 14 hearts from each member of the family. Hard not to feel loved with 56 hearts in your box, right?

On Valentine’s morning I make heart waffles or pancakes with blueberries and strawberries. (I usually make the batter before bed so it’s ready in the morning). I also serve hot cocoa with marshmallows to make it extra special. After breakfast we read valentine stories by candlelight. It’s very hygge (cozy) and beautiful.
At dinner, we will open our valentine boxes and read them aloud. I also give the boys a Valentines basket filled with treats.
Here’s a lovely story, The Valentine Baker of Pink.

Wishing you a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
